Bring Sally Up, Bring Sally Down
Motoring towards Riposto, a bit bored so time for a challenge :-)
Bring Sally Up....
I love this clip https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=41N6bKO-NVI take the challenge for whatever exercise you feel like doing.
Easy concept, follow the music :-). On "bring Sally up" you're in the highest position of the exercise and on "bring Sally down" the lowest. Some lyric prompts are fast, some slow and enjoy the burn waiting for the next prompt...

Flavoured salt costs how much?
Sorry but I think it's insane, adopt the motto of "someone made it so I can too" and you'll save a bundle! Using flavoured salt also means you're putting less sodium on your plate so that's got to be good.
Flavour ideas I've made so far:
Blitz dried porcini mushrooms to a fine powder (this is good on it's own sprinkled on meats, added to marinades).
Citrus salt: zest unwaxed lemons and oranges. Leave peel on baking parchment for a good 12 hrs to dry out. Blitz when dried if you want it ...
Summer on a plate
Just want to say that food doesn't have to be time consuming or clever, for me it does have to look tasty so I do think about colours as I'm randomly pulling things out of the fridge. This was my lunch, happy and full!
Just shredded some lettuce, chopped a small peach (remove skin, I do), sliced half an avocado (using the rest for a dip later), a few sun dried tomatoes, a couple of slices of smoked meat, crumbled some fresh cheese, added a few walnuts and drizzled with a tiny amount of ...
Gypsy excitement
Awake early full of ideas and enthusiasm. Huge thanks to those who shared the link and left comments either here or feedback on Facebook. All taken onboard, pun unintentional. So delighted you like it!
So explanations on some exercises and stick figure images (I can't draw to save my life, this will be funny!)
Today's recipe ideas are mostly salads (some warm ones), stuffed mushrooms and a few light suppers with Asian flavours. It's suddenly getting hotter where we are, minimum effort ...

Toilet talk, sorry!
So we all know that boat loos smell right? Particularly the ones that aren't used very often. Why? Well its not the boys lack of directional control or not flushing properly but rather the algae in the sea water inlet pipe as it dies, this gives off sulphuric acid (smelly rotten egg gas smell) which causes the chrome to corrode on your taps as well. Anyhow I digress, banish stinky toilets with this easy remedy.
Drop a slow dissolving chlorine tablet (like they use in spa baths) into the ...
First blog
I've always been obsessed with good food and usually wake up with the thought of what to cook today. So ploughing through hundreds of recipes in books and online, wow there's some inspired cooks out there, then putting my own twist on them. We all do it right, read something and think but what if I change this or that? My passion is spicy food, you may like milder flavours so tweak away and feel free to share your ideas. Got it, tonight will be meatloaf with wild mushroom sauce. ...

Roasted Whole Garlic
I'm always thinking of other things I can put in the oven when baking something, running out of gas at anchor is a pain many of us know only too well unfortunately....
Delicious, fragrant and the best thing is when this is fully cooked you can eat entire cloves of the stuff without the stinky breath!
Make sure your garlic bulb is really fresh, pop onto a square of tinfoil, drizzle with a little olive oil. Close the package and roast when you know the oven is on for a good 40 mins or so. Cool, ...
